Brian Boswell's Circus needs to be stopped. Year after year they drag those animals around Southern Africa. They are in Botswana at the moment. The elephants are covered in dust, in a tiny fence next to a busy road. The lions have not been let out of their trailers in two days, and one look at the ponies makes it very obvious that they have not been groomed in a while. A lot of people in Botswana come to the circus every year, but not many people really understand the seriousness of the way these animals are treated...Using animals for entertainment is, in its basic form, abuse. The animals don't understand why they are forced to do tricks...they only know that if they do well, they get treats, and if they mess up they get beaten. These are animals who should be living in the wild, but were born into a world which refused them the right to develop their instincts. Just one of the two elephants in that circus has the strength to tear the whole place apart, but it does not know it. It has never been taught how to look after itself.
